.How to take care of your new leather garment

Lambskin / Cowskin garments:

Taking care of a lambskin or cowskin garment is really easy and you won’t need a lot of products. We recommend you clean and hydrate your jacket with any furniture polish (Original with no extra color).

Grab your garment, the furniture polish and a soft cloth.

Spray the furniture polish onto the cloth and softly pass it through all the leather part, if it gets a little darker no worries!!  It will dry and go back to it’s original color J

Goatskin/ Suede garments:

For goatskin or suede garments it is better to prevent the stain by using a suede protector.

If the stain already happened try with a scotch tape or a damp cloth and rub it gently on the garment, wait until fully dries.

Wrinkles:

To get the wrinkles out of leather we recommend hanging the garment or using it a little bit.

Please iron your item using A DRY TOWEL OR BLANKET ON TOP OF THE LEATHER.

Not directly. Warm iron, not too hot. No steam!! :) and give it a couple of days for wrinkles to relax and most of all , start wearing your jacket! Wrinkles will fade!!

ABOUT OUR LEATHER

Fresh hides enter the tannery and begin the liming process, where they are soaked for several days to remove the hair and open the pores. Then, they go through a fleshing machine to stretch the hides and remove excess fat.

Next comes the tanning stage. The hides are placed in a drum (fulon) for two days, where high-quality chemicals are added to achieve the desired softness and sponginess.

After tanning, they are drained and split to separate the grain layer from the flesh split. We use the grain layer to produce oiled garments. The leather is adjusted to a thickness of approximately 0.8–1 mm and then re-tanned and dyed using quality anilines and oils.

Finally, the leather is dried, selected for quality, lightly sanded if needed, oiled again, dried once more, and trimmed and measured to complete the process.
